Well, just run the exe and it will decompress the whole thing. It's a rar made into an exe file. I had to split it into 2 files because to download files over 1GB from Megaupload you need a premium account
Hi, thanks for uploading the game, but I'm having trouble installing the new edition of Ryojou-hen (windows 7). I get a syntax error when installation starts. I've tried the applocale thing but, once again I get an error when I finish the process, it says that Applocale couldn't launch the application. any help?
Once you unrar the files, use daemon tools to mount disc one. Now run applocale, go to the newly mounted disc and pick autorun.exe. From the list of languages in applocale pick the last one. Now the autorun should start. Pick the top left icon and start installer. It should install properly now.
I know I'm late (sorry), but another thing to try is to right-click on the applocale insaller, go to Properties, then go to Compatibility, and check mark the box in Compatiblity Mode that will run the program for previous versions of Windows.
i'll try to install but when installations going start...its fail and fail. the messages is: The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is error.
hey man, when I open the autorun and open the installer tells me the file name, directory or volume label is invalid, I have win xp sp3, wanted to know if you could help me with this problem, but most of all, great post and Greetings from Colombia.
For anyone having trouble with the installer throwing an error because of the locale on Windows 10, the following worked for me:
1 - Go to control panel 2 - Click language and region settings 3 - Click region, go to the last tab (rightmost) *Remember your current system locale because we are going to change it now and then set it back to what it is now later. 4 - Change system locale -> select Japanese 5 - You will be prompted to reboot and windows 10 will download the locale if you don't have it 6 - Reboot 7 - Mount CD1, install normally, mount cd2 when prompted, then mount cd1 again when prompted. You will need to have CD1 mounted in order to play. 8 - Test that the game works, close it and repeat steps 1 through 6 to go back to your own locale. 9 - Done, you can configure the game with dgrjexec.exe which is in the game folder. Graphic settings are the forth button from the top, and then click on the left one. Click OK when done, and then click on the leftmost button on the bottom to save changes and launch the game.
Thanks for posting this here. I love the DDG-series, but unfortuntely it's very hard to find the games.
In Densha de Go! Ryojohen, the .part4 file is somehow corrupted. It won't unpack from the selfextracting archive nor from newest version of WinRAR. Gives the following error message:
The archive is either in unknown format or damaged
Anyone here who can post part4, if they still have a working file saved?
Thank you very much, Mike for the iso files and other people for the instructions. I finally installed this game onto the Windows 11 OS and had no problems at all. I was too afraid to do so for the past 5 years. It was actually very simple and straightforward. To play the game, I still need the iso files mounted in the daemon tools tho. Many thanks!

I love this series...one thing. A part of this game is .exe, whereas the other is .rar . This got me confused. How do we exactly use this stuff.

I don't really think that you'll need applocale for that. I'll test it and let you know.
